When my boyfriend had his birthday 3 weeks after we went on our first date, I had a dilemma:  What do I get him for a gift?  Something small seemed too impersonal, yet buying something extravagant too early in the relationship didn’t seem right either.  So I decided to make him something instead.

Since I’d just returned from visiting my sister in Hawaii, I had a slew of beautiful photos.  (I discovered you just can’t take a BAD picture in Hawaii!)  John and I both love quotations and I pulled one off his Facebook page:  ”Rest is not idleness and to lie sometimes in the grass under the trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time”, John Lubbock.

I used Photoshop Elements and typed the quote on the top right corner of my photo image.  Then I printed it as an 8×10 photo.  I got a beautiful frame at Hobby Lobby and viola ~ a great, personalized gift for not too much cash!

Thought I’d share a quote with you now and then as part of an effort to bring GOOD into your life… you know… Good Deals, Good Food, Good News!  This quote is one of my favorite Winnie the Pooh quotes.  I love Pooh’s simple view of life ~ that sometimes the greatest wisdom comes by sharing simple things with friends.
